The ancient Greeks thought this ratio gave a most pleasing appearance to the structure. It is also called the golden mean. The reason for this is that it is the mean proportional between 1 and 1+itself, that is the positive solution to the equation 1/g=g/(1+g).

There are a lot of golden ratio going around us like the piramid, pepsi and apple logo , the licence card length , monariza and many more but is it real? There are a lot of discriptions and evidence about why the golden ratio cannot be submited in the situations and I heard that it is just a math put in by force. so my main question is this ' Is the smile on the monariza's face or the length of the piramid is a lie?' plz tell me the reasons!!!

The Golden Rectangle as defined for a rectangle is such that, when a square is isolated with one side coinciding with the shorter side of a rectangle, the remaining part of the original rectangle is also a Golden Rectangle.
The ratio of the length to width for any Golden rectangle is the number φ (phi) = ½(1+√5) which is about 1.618033
The ratio of any term in a Fibonacci sequence to its immediate predecessor becomes closer and closer to φ, the Golden Ratio (or golden mean), as one deals with Fibonacci numbers that approach infinity. So this is TRUE.
What may be dubious is claims of governance by the Golden Mean for certain elements of art and architecture.
