If ABC is a triangle and D and E are points on AC and AB. BD and CF intersect at F.

Areas of FBE, BFC and FDC is 10,20 and 16, find the area of AEFD

Suppose

Center point of AB is E  & 

Center point of AC is D

 

by drawing wi will see

 

when we Join Point B with Point D

it divides the ABC in two right triangles ABC = ADB + CDB

Area of ABC = 36+ 36=  72

as we know

Area of CDB = FDC + BFC = 16+ 20= 36

on the other side 

we have one triangle and a  Quadrilatral 

ADB = FBE+AEFD

36= 10 +AEFD

AEFD=36 -10= 26
