Sentence B reads better and is the better choice. Why? Because the 2 options are phrased in a parallel way. Notice that "faulty wiring" and "overloaded outlet" are both written as adjective, then noun. In sentence A, the two options are not parallel. "Faulty wiring" is adjective, then noun, but "outlet that was overloaded" is noun, then adjective phrase.
It just reads better and more smoothly to make the two options parallel in construction.
