Should an isuues essay be written in first peron or third person?

Is writing in first peron or third person better for an issues essay?

Third person because many people can face the same issues.  When you address an issue, you are talking to all of those people affected by the issue. 

 

If you were writing about issues that only yourself face, then write in first person.
