Approximating and Square Roots HELP (Question in description)

Question

You stand on a bridge and drop a pebble into the water below from a height of 75 feet. You can use the expression square root of 75/16 to find the time in seconds that it takes the pebble to hit the water. Write the expression in simplest form. Then approximate the value of the expression to the nearest second.

Simplest form.  Break up the square-root by its factors.

 

√(25)√(3) / √4 = (5/2)√3

 

Use a calculator to approximate √(75/16).
