 X -  10 millimeter   / Sea Cucumbers

  Y>  10 + 10^2  = 110 millimeter

You missed a 0. :-)

10^2 = 10 x 10 = 100

So the smallest is 10 mm and the largest is 100 times as big, hence 10 x 100 = 1000.

I think you missed the exponent part?

If the largest sea cucumbers are MORE THAN 10^2 (100) times longer than the smallest sea cucumbers (10), you have to multiply 10x100, which equals 1000.  So the approx. length of the largest sea cucumber is at least 1000 mm.
