3.PQ + QR = RS+QR 3. Addition Postulate....If 2 = quantities are added, the resulting sums are =.
4 PR=PQ+QR 4. Partition Postulate. A whole is made up of the sum of its parts.
QS = QR+RS
5.PR = QS 5. Substitution Postulate....if 2 quantities are =, they can be substituted for one another
in any expression
For Reason number 4, your teacher uses segment addition postulate.....It's not very clear, at least not the way I teach it, what your teacer means by d and e and what the difference is...I've always learned and taught the partition postulate.
