Angles α and β are between 0° and 360° with cos α = -0.9063 and tan β = -0.4877.
Which of the following is a possible (approximate) value for α + β?

A) 51° B) 129° C) 309° D) 361° E) 669°

180º is not an answer choice, and the tangent of -0.4877 is -25.9984, not positive 25. The answer sheet says that the correct answer is C. 309º, but it doesnt say how to do it.

tan-1 -0.4877 = -25.998
Putting both angles in QII, as you correctly note, α = 155° and β = 154°.
α + β = 309°
