Which is the best name for a quadrilateral with vertices at (2,2), (5,-2), (1,-5), and (-2,-1)?

so first you plot the point in the paper and label each point by a letter 

second find the length of each side 

third by finding out the length you can figure out what is the best name of the quadrilateral that we asked about 

 

you need to find the distance between each point and start figure out the actual quadrilateral, so lets see 

 

if you assume that A(2,2),B(5,-2),D(1,-5),E(-2,-1)

 

the equation of the length between two point is known as : sqrt((x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2)

 

by using this equation we will find the four sides length since we have four points

 

AB=sqrt((5-2)^2+(-2-2)^2)=5

AE=sqrt((-2-2)^2+(-1-2)^2)=5

ED=sqrt((1+2)^2+(-5+1)^2)=5

BD=sqrt((1-5)^2+(1-5)^2)=5

 

THE quadrilateral is a  rhombus since  all sides are equal length
