1.) The ultimate fate of a star depends on its initial mass.
Stars of low mass (less than 1/2 our Sun) which are too cool to fuse He to Carbon and 0xygen, will eventually end as white dwarfs made of helium.

2.)A massive star will end with a violent explosion (a supernova), and the contents will be expelled into space.
3.)The matter ejected in a supernova will become a glowing supernova remnant.
