What topic/theme should I write about Alfred Hitchcock for a research paper?

I want to write a research paper on Alfred Hitchcock and his movies? Are there any movies that share a common theme or do any of his movies have themes that can easily relate to real life issues or problems? Any suggestions would be helpful thank you

Almost all of Hitchcock's films share several themes in common. Most relate to real-life issues and human problems.

One obvious theme that recurs is Appearance vs. Reality. French critics also established a theme of Roman Catholicism in the director's first 55 films.
