so is consider an adverb to modify another adverb that is "gracefully" that modifies the verb "danced"...Ilona

This might seem a bit tricky as many would want to say "gracefully" was an adjective. When used as the word "graceful" it is an adjective, but with the addition of "ly" it becomes an adverb.  For this question then, "so" is modifying an adverb.
