Racism: Segregation-where Black people live, in relation to white people. The lynch mob that comes to get Tom, at the jail. Scout's use of the word "nig..r" (and Atticus' reply-"Don' say nig..r, Scout"-as anti-racist.)
Violence: Bob Ewell spitting at Atticus, his threatening attitude, and his attack on the children.
Good v. Evil: LOTS in this! Atticus v. Ewell; Tom v. Mayella; Scout v. the lynch mob; shooting the dog; aunt Alexandra; etc.
Stereotyping: Blacks doing certain work; poverty/drunkenness of Bob Ewell; Boo Radley (crazy).
Courage: Atticus taking the case; the fire; Mrs. Dubose; Maudy's house fire.
Raising children: Atticus as single father; Bob Ewell as single father; Dill's situation; Boo's situation.
Gender: Scout
Education: ANYTHING having to do with school-the Cunningham incident; the fact that Scout can't read with Atticus.
Loneliness: Scout, when she's alone; Atticus defending Tom.
Hope this helps!

Atticus says that the kids can shoot all of the Bluejays they want, but it is a sin to kill a Mockingbird. Tom Robinson is the Mockingbird. Go from there.
Is this due tomorrow?
