A town in the mid west has been experiencing a steady population decline of 1.5 % per year for the past decade.
If there were 31050 residents in the year 2011 and the trend continues, what will the population be in the year 2029?
I can not think of a formula that is working to give me the answer for this.

A squirrel population was introduced in a county 30 years ago. Doubles every 6 years, and is now 60,000. What will the population be after 10 years from now?
Initial population size= 1875 (30 years ago)
60000*2= 120,000 (6 years from now)
120,000*2= 240,000 (12 years from now)
Question is 10 years from now so how do I find between that?
