Is my baby a boy or a girl?

Great question! Before modern technology, parents had to wait until birth to find out their baby's sex. But thanks to medical advances, you can now find out much earlier!

An ultrasound, typically done around 18–20 weeks during the anatomy scan, can often reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl. Even earlier, a noninvasive prenatal test (NIPT) can be done through a simple blood draw. This test looks for X and Y chromosomes in your blood. If a Y chromosome is detected, you’re likely having a boy. If not, it’s most likely a girl!
