Pros and cons of becoming an independent state

What would be some pros and cons of becoming an independent state?

Pros: You have more autonomy within the state.

A sovereign government will enact its own laws without external interference.

If a state has enough support from other independent states particularly those with influence, they can recieve international recognition.

Cons: The state loses its trade deals and the income that comes from being apart of their country.

The state that broke away can receive inference from outside states especially the state it broke away from.

Each separatist region has their own issues with becoming independent.
