When you are in clinical, be assertive and seek out new experiences. Ask other nurses if they need help, or if they have anything exciting going on to come get you. Be the first to practice in the lab.
I also recommend that you get a job in a hospital while in nursing school. You will see so much during your shift that will further validate your skills and watching nurses in action can only help.
