Adrenaline, also known as epinephrine, is secreted in response to stress and emergencies. Two situations in which adrenaline is likely to be released are:
1. Fight-or-Flight Response: When faced with a dangerous or stressful situation, such as encountering a threatening animal or being in a high-pressure situation, adrenaline is released to prepare the body for immediate physical action. This increases heart rate, dilates airways, and boosts energy supplies to help the body respond quickly.
2. Intense Physical Activity: During intense physical exertion, such as running a race or lifting heavy weights, adrenaline levels rise to enhance performance. It increases blood flow to muscles, elevates heart rate, and mobilizes energy reserves to support physical effort.
