Correct.
The classification of life is hierarchical, starting with kingdom at the top (and including the most organisms) and species at the bottoms (single specific species). Humans belong to the Kingdom Animalia, what we can animals. Humans, dogs, fish, tigers, any animal you think of belongs in this kingdom. Therefore, humans are animals.
Homo sapiens is the name of the human species. Only humans are considered Homo sapiens, with every other animal being its own species. Therefore, not all animals are humans. I hope this was helpful.

So are humans considered animals by the same definition of the term animal used in everyday colloquial conversation? Or do those vary? Like “animals” in daily conversation is defined as non human animals vs humans being classified as animals has a different definition?05/06/24
