What is my approach to teaching writing?
In writing, my goal is to help students incorporate their authentic voices into their writing assignments and creative work. I work with students to build confidence in their perspectives, ideas, and voices so that they can express themselves on the page. For creative writing, I teach fiction writing, memoir, and poetry. We explore character development, establishing setting, plot, and conflict, and finding the joy and confidence in your own voice. For essays, we work on short and long-form essays, addressing analytic, interpretative, and critical composition and incorporating a personal point of view.
Lessons are individualized for each student.

Expert Writer & English Teacher: Mastering Claim, Evidence & Warrant
What... what is happening in this thread?
The English teacher is the chief arbiter of logos, ethos, and pathos. As a logical, rational, and ethical role model, that is a mirror of society's Golden Rule or Kant's moral Imperative, I am careful to uphold my authentic voice, and teach the facts without fallacies, distortions, or misinformation. I am passionate about teaching critical thinking, rhetorical techniques, literature as a way to teach empathy, the moral imperative, point or view, recognition of diversity, critical aspects of moral ambiguity, and the role of cultural heritage.
It sounds like you have perfect goals and great style! I think that as long as you continue to realize that every student will need polishing-up, while they find their voice and their rhythm, they will be blessed to have you as their instructor!
