Slope-intercept form: y = mx + b (m is slope; b is y-int).
slope = rise/run = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) = (3 - 5)/(-3-(-9)) = -2/6 = -1/3
Using point (-3,3): 3 = -(1/3)(-3) + b → 3 = 1 + b → b = 2
So equation is y = -(x/3) + 2
