 A group of students decides to investigate the loss of chlorophyll in autumn leaves. They collect green leaves and leaves that have turned color from sugar maple, sweet gum, beech, and aspen trees. Each leaf is subjected to an analysis to determine how many mg of chlorophyll is present. What type of graph would be most appropriate for presenting the results of this experiment and why

A bar graph is most useful for comparing quantitative data vs qualitative data. I would put the tree species on the x-axis and the level of chlorophyll on the y-axis. This will allow you to immediately visualize which tree species produces the most/least chlorophyll.
