I'm in eighth grade math. Today we just started a new unit. I don't know how to answer the question y=-3x+5, x/16=7/10, 6/15=3/x, 2x/5=12/8, and -8=2/x.

Natalie, do the directions say "solve for x?" Although the first one, y = -3x + 5 might have something different than that. More info?

Sorry. All of them are solve for x exept y=-3x+5. That equation is supposed to be -y=-2x+3. I have to turn y into a positive and I don't know how to do that.
