We have a jar of coins, all dimes and pennies. All together, we have 204 coins, and the total value of all coins in the jar is $ 10.41. How many dimes are there in the jar?

Easier to do everything in cents, avoid decimal points and division by 10 or 100 in the equations. 1P + 10D = 1041, etc.

I agree. I wrote it in dollars to demonstrate paying attention to units as given but it's slightly harder to calculate.
