There are only three macromolecules which include carbohydrates, fat, and protein. Elephants are herbivores and therefore eat plants. Plants are made up mostly of cellulose which is a carbohydrate. A lion on the other hand is a carnivore which means they are meat eaters. Meat is made up of mostly protein with some fat depending on the cut of the meat.
