So I would plug the second equation back into the first equation to solve for the value of Q

0.30Q + 0.15 = 3.75

0.30Q = 3.60

Q = 3.60 / 0.30 = 12

Which means that

N = 12 + 3 = 15

So in sum she has 12 quarters and 15 nickels
