mass = density x volume
We know the density is 7.87 g / ml, so we need to find the volume of the cylinder in mls.
Volume = π r2 h
π = 3.1416
r (in cm) = 0.19 mm / 2 = 0.095 mm x 1 cm / 10 mm = 0.0095 cm
h (in cm) = 14.59 cm
Volume = (3.1416)(0.0095 cm)2(14.59 cm)
Volume = 4.137x10-3 cm3
Now we can solve for mass:
mass = density x volume
mass = 7.87 g / ml x 4.137x10-3 ml
mass = 0.033 g
