Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
two consecutive integers, 124 +125 sum to 249
two other consecutive integers sum to -124+ (-125) = -249
or two consecutive numbers whose difference = -249
an infinite number of possibilites such as
-498 and -249: -498-(-249) = -249
or -10498 and -10249 = -249
no two consecutive integers have a product or quotient of 249 or -249
it's unclear if "square root" was a typo.
249 is not a perfect square so it's unclear how you'd get an integer out of it
it doesn't seem to fit within the general or common type of problems involving consecutive integers
