Ordered pairs which tells you how far to move

So I have this question from a crossword puzzle... It asks for the position of a number in an ordered pair which tells you how far to move left or right of the origin. I tried the x-axis but it wouldn't fit in. It has five letters and the third letter is "r" while the last letter is "t". If anyone knows the answer please inform me.

position of a number from the origin left or right is going to be along the x-axis: is it first? Remeber it said position.
