We can often see the root of social problems by following the money. So, make some hypotheses regarding who makes money from fear of crime. Who is getting rich? Who is getting funding from whom?

Crime is always there. The Border Crisis is making the drug lords rich. The urban indifference to inner-city crime is causing many to buy guns that would not otherwise. and the lawyers letting violent offenders off is adding to social problems. The vote is like money to a politician. You want better cities, quit voting in those who do nothing.
