Qualitative observations are observations that can't be measured with numbers, whereas quantitative observations can be measured with numbers. Examples of qualitative observations include hair color and eye color, because these measurements don't have numbers assigned to them. Examples of quantitative observations, on the other hand, include height or the number of spots on a Dalmatian because these are things that can be assigned a number value. Hope this helps!
