Using "such that" in the context

But the working class does not need to perpetuate itself. On the contrary, it needs to do away with its own existence as a class as quickly as possible, and to establish a classless society. Therefore, the working class has no use at all for any philosophical "system" which establishes any false permanence. Its class position and aims are such that it can afford to and needs to recognise and trace out the change, coming into being and ceasing to be of everything in existence.

Materialism and the Dialectical Method (Maurice Cornforth)

I have some questions to ask:

  1. Could you explain to me the use of "such that" in the text above? I think the author need place an adj after such for clarification.
  2. What does the word "it" [it can afford to and needs to] refer to? the working class?
  3. Does the word "class" modify both "position" and "aims", or just "position"?

I am still confused. I stil don't understand it if i replace "such that" with "so". Its class position and aims are so it can afford to and needs to recognise and trace out, Could you make it clearer.
