The equation for photosynthesis is as follows: 6CO2 + 6H2O + light → C6H12O6 + 6O2. As we can see, carbon dioxide and light are both reactants, meaning they are required in order to produce sugar and oxygen. If we were to decrease the amount of carbon dioxide and light, the rate of photosynthesis will decrease, resulting in a smaller production of sugar and oxygen.
