My favorite movie has to be Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind starring Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet. The film follows Joel and Clementine, a loving yet hopelessly mismatched couple who both decide to have their painful memories of each other permanently removed. A group of technicians that work for Lacuna Inc. provide a treatment, but the procedure goes awry and Joel becomes lucid. Joel regrets breaking up with Clementine and is forced to relive their painful memories.

The film portrays memory as a fragmented and unreliable force, which is evident in the film's non-linear plot structure. This non-linear plot structure is evident in the use of continuity and discontinuity editing in the film. Also, the use of the jump cut and experiments with chronology further this representation of the human condition, love, and memory. The film, the characters, and the plot is so unpredictable, and I love it so much.

My favorite movie of all time is Forest Gump. This movie is wholesome and fun-loving, and it is a movie made to invoke many emotions. I could watch this movie over and over and each time find something different to appreciate.
