Hyperbole and Understatment

Help me write an interesting narrative (a story) that includes a minimum of 5 hyperboles and 5 understatements. Highlight them in yellow in two different colors (one for hyperboles and one for understatements) as you go.

Hyperbole is figure of speech in which exaggeration is used for emphasis or effect, as in "I could sleep for a year" or "This book weighs a ton."

Understatement is a statement that is less than complete. For example: You just hit the biggest lottery of all time! A modest understatement would be: "I'm kind of excited."
