Please help me to solve this.

a). Convert $1 from U.S. dollars to euros to pounds to yen.

b). Convert $1 directly (in one step) from U.S. dollars to yen.

c). Are answers from parts a and b exactly equal? If not, what could account for the differences in the results?

d). Take the reciprocal of 122.63 Japanese yen. What is the result, and what does it mean?

e). Convert 10 U.S. dollars to euros in three ways: by scaling; by using the conversion factor 1 USD =_____ euro; and by using the reciprocal of the conversion factor 1 euro = _____ USD.

We can demo general methodology but would be nice if you supplied actual conversion factors for the three currencies.

Also -- if the result in (c) is "No", then one might suspect that the converter (bank, etc.) is "taking a cut" on the conversion, as might well be expected. An excellent reason to minimize your conversion transactions!
