write the slope intercept form of the equation of the line described

through: (-5,2), parallel to y= 1/5x -1

There are several problems with this submission: 1> You need to clarify the fraction for y with parentheses. 2> the function y is an hyperbola. At what point do you want the straight line through (-5,2) to be parallel to (presumably) the tangent to the hyperbola?

The point (-5,2) is not on the line y=1/5x-27/5 because the values of x and y are interchanged.
