Well, yes and no!
In general, if you start to burn your fat, you burn some to CO2 and some eventually gets converted to ketones (your breath smells fruity), also. Since ketones are also an indication of possible ketoacidosis (which is deadly), you should previously have been cleared re/ diabetes for prolongued exercise by your doctor. Just the ketones are OK, and may make your weight loss faster since they obviously haven't been burned off to CO2.
It's a lot easier to not put the fat on in the first place, and regular exercise will help with that.
