I do not see any picture of the pulley, so I am just using my imagination.
This is what will happen in reality.
The larger weight will start falling down, pulling the smaller weight up,
and turning the pulley.
The speed of a point on the pully will be proportional to the speed of the weights.
1) Everything will be driven by gravitational acceleration, meaning that
everybody's speed will be increasing linearly.
2) Then air friction will start playing an increasing role,
causing the speed increase to be sub-linear.
3) The weight m1 will crash into the pulley, causing everything to stop.
The answer to the question is:
C in case all three of the above effects are taken into consideration.
D in case only effects 1) and 2) are taken into consideration.
B in case only effect 1) is taken into consideration.
