You would use the product rule for (a) and the power rule for (b)

(a) log 6 = log (2 * 3) = log 2 + log 3 = 0.3010 + 0.4771. You can plug it in your calculator and get the answer

(b) log (root 3) = log 3^(1/2) = (1/2)* log 3 = (1/2)* 0.4771 which you would plug in your calculator and get the answer.
