There is a formula for the slope, which you can look up in your text book or on-line. It is:
m = (y2-y1) / (x2-x1)
where m is the slope and (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) are the two given points, (5,5) and (1,4). Plug the numbers into the formula to get the answer.
