I have an assignment and i have to figure out the 'bakery' of a plant cell.....help?

endoplasmic reticulum can be called bakery of a cell since it makes (or bakes) all the proteins that are needed for various functions in the cell.

however depending on tutor you can call chlorophlast as bakery too.

chloroplast makes chlorophyl that gives color and energy to the cell. chloroplast trap light energy into energy rich chlorophyl.

so my bet would be either chloroplasts or endoplasmic reticulum.

mitchondria performs oxidative phosphorylation and utilizes and breaks particles down to create energy for cell to use, so it is the power house of the cell.

however some other important structures in a cell include golgi apparatus, chloroplast and peroxisomes.

golgi apparatus modifies the proteins and adds carbohydrates to them to make glycoproteins.
