Hi Tom,
To find the strengths and weaknesses of this article (along with most articles), I recommend the workflow outlined by this infographic: https://image.slidesharecdn.com/infographic-how-to-read-scientific-papers-150804232530-lva1-app6892/95/infographic-how-to-read-scientific-papers-1-1024.jpg?cb=1439408948
I hope that helps and that you have a great weekend!

Not sure why exactly, but Wyzant refuses to transmit a quite detailed statement on this. I think it hangs up on filtering responses including the term "m-a-t-i-n-g". Suggest you look at some related papers to familiarize yourself with the specific assertions and to know competing viewpoints. How do the workers know the queen's history? Are the genetic relationships (kinship) valid? Are there other possible causes of the worker behavior? And so on -- I regret that I looked at this some time ago, gave up trying to get a response by Wyzant, and have forgotten specifics --12/27/21
