1. get rid of all the parenthesis by multiplying the outside number with each of the number in the parenthesis
5x+13-6x < 6x+3-4x
2. Add all like terms (add all the x together)
5x-6x+15 < 6x-4x+3
-x+15 < 2x +3
3. subtract 15 on both sides
-x+15 -15 < 2x +3 -15
-x+0 < 2x -12
-x < 2x -12
4. subtract 2x on both sides
-x -2x < 2x -12 -2x
-3x < -12
5. Divide by -3 on both sides (because we are dividing by a negative number, you have to switch the sign from less than to greater than)
-3x/-9 < -12/-3
x > 4
