The quickest way to learn English is to live in an English speaking country, and practice everyday through practical conversation in everyday life. Don't be afraid to make mistakes! The quickest way to learn is to allow yourself to speak even with mistakes. You'll get there little by little!
English can be learned faster by doing the following:
- Speak: Practice your English with everyone, absolutely everyone! It's ok to make mistakes and others will enjoy helping you with your English. After all, you are multilingual, unlike many Americans. You can do this!
- Listen: Listen to news, your family, your friends and those speaking on the television. Do this while looking at English subtitles and/or pictures. This will help you associate words with pictures.
- Read: You can even start with cartoons or books for children. Start here and advance to more challenging readings progressively.
- Write: You can copy sentences that you see in books. These are sentences that are grammatically correct 99% of the time. Write your to-do list in English. Write a letter to someone you love in English.
- Do all the above, as long as you love and enjoy them. This will make learning English so much easier. I, Jessica, can help you more on this subject. I invite you to book a lesson with me. :)

The best way to learn quicker is to not be afraid to make mistakes. Learning any language takes practice, especially practice in speaking. I always say to my students, "It's okay that it's hard, that's how you know that you're learning!". I never make my student's feel bad about the level of English they are at and instead encourage them to see how far they have already come and how quickly they are learning. While it's hard to be patient with yourself as you learn, I make it a fun and stress free experience to grow in the language and in yourself.

There's always having a great teacher or tutor of course. But one can only learn so much and so fast with an hour of study with a tutor a week. You asked for a way to learn English "quicker". Well, a vital key into efficient language learning is immersion. Language immersion involves the exclusive use of the target language in all of one’s activities. Fortunately, English is a quickly becoming a global language and the English language is now easy to find almost anywhere you look. Unfortunately, just seeing English is not enough. It is up to the student to utilize these resources in their daily life.
Jokes: Read them, they are funny in any language, practice telling them to friends.
Video games: Like video games? Play online? Try using English ones, learn, practice, play, and have fun at the same time.
Practice USING, not REPEATING: Instead of just memorizing a word and merely learning “how” to use it, try USING it, but lots, 50 times, in different sentences, in a never ending story. Such as "I got o the hospital, at the hospital I get treated, the doctor works at the hospital, i like the small comfortable hospital, but this hospital is big, where is another hospital?” etc.
Blogging: Keep a simple blog that you update everyday, but in English! Doesn’t have to be long and complicated, but doing it will give you the DAILY exercise you need to keep your English practiced and refined.
TV & Movies: Watch English TV shows and movies, of course! Even if you have to use subtitles, you can try to sometimes not read the subtitles and see if you can understand what they say with your EARS and not your eyes. At least you can absorb SOME of the English, even if you read subtitles. Also, if you find a movie or TV show you really really like, start watching it over and over without subtitles, look at a script of the dialogue, practice watching it and just listening.
Thinking in English: Sounds stupid right? But it’s extremely useful! Try to go along with your daily thoughts, even simple things from “I’m hungry” to “Which restaurant should I eat at tonight” to “Oh no, I’m late for work/school!” but just try to talk in your head in English. If you can’t seem to do it all the time, try doing it for 10 minutes a day, force yourself, it’ll get easier and easier.
And those are just a few from an article I've written. I have another 20 or so tips just like these if you are interested. Feel free to contact me anytime if you have any more questions or comments, or just want to practice. And remember; practice makes perfect. :)

Well-versed tutor: K-12 English, History, Math, Science, College Apps
Hello,
In order to gain a greater grasp of the English language internally, I would highly recommend listening to music with song lyrics that you can follow along with, watching educational programming with subtitles, reading regularly, writing journal entries of your own, viewing theatrical performances, listening to books on tape, and engaging in everyday conversation with fellow native English speakers. Carrying out these practices on a daily basis will help to make English vocabulary words and grammatical concepts make all the more sense in terms of spelling, definitions, sentence composition and contextual clarity, as well as enjoyment of one of the most complex, colorful dialects in the history of human communication.
Good luck with it all and feel free to reach out if you are interested in receiving further tutoring expertise!

You can learn English quicker by being yourself and by being relaxed. I recommend that you find an English tutor who has a CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) approach. This means try to find a tutor who you have things to learn from other than just their teaching ability; someone you can learn a skill from or find someone whom you can have interesting conversations. English isn't meant to be learned just as a classroom exercise but as a social and emotional connection. I believe true learning is established through true friendship and caring. In my class you will treated as a friend! Let's start! Happy learning!

Hello. I am speaking on behalf of the language learners that have watched over the past two years. Based off of my observations, practicing with a native speaker. Watching TV shows in English. Listening to songs in English. Practicing pronunciation in a mirror! If you watch you self say the words it may be easier to say over time.10/16/21
