molarity is:
M= mol/L
so if you have the molarity and the amount of liters you can solve for the moles.
0.1M = xmol/0.5L
mol = 0.05 mol
now with this you can find grams given the at. weight of NaCl
0.05 mol x 58.4g/mol mols cancel each other top to bottom and you have 2.92g
So yes this is correct.
