Let f(x) = 3x + 5 and g(x) = x².

Find (f + g)(x).

Hi, Bre. This is not an inverse function question, but function composition.

(f + g)(x) = f(g(x)) = f(x²) = 3(x²) + 5 = 3x² + 5

Since there are no domain issues for either function, our combination has the same domain of all Real numbers.
