This is so because ALL your cells come from the one original cell (zygote) and have therefore the same DNA code. Yet as the number of cells grows and the organism's body starts to take shape the cells will 'differentiate' or express/use different parts of the DNA code that is needed to complete their function i.e.be a nerve cell and ONCE a cell does this it is called 'specialization' which locks the cells into that role and changes its shape and chemical make-up accordingly.
