The cell theory states that cells are the basic unit of life, that living organisms are therefore made up of cells, and that living cells must come from other living cells.
That statement includes answers B, C, and D-- all of which are part of cell theory.
Answer A is a true statement-- stem cells are undifferentiated, and can differentiate into other cells. However, stem cells are not a part of the cell theory, even though we now know that stem cells are an important mechanism behind cell theory. Therefore, the statement not a part of cell theory is Answer A.
