asked 07/16/21solve for x, 3^2root4 - 4(3^2rootx) = -3

I believe you mean the actual question is like this
If 3^4√2 - 4(3^2√x) = -3; find x
3^4√2 - 4(3^2√x) + 3 = 0 (convert it to quadratic form)
Lets say 3^2√x = a; our new equation will be;
a2 - 4a +3 = 0
Factor this polynomial;
a2 gives us a*a
3 gives us -3*-1 (we choose that factors because when you combine them you get -4)
a2 - 4a +3 = (a-3)(a-1)
when you solve right part for a
you get a = 3, a = 1
If 3^2√x = a; plug a values in the equation and find x values
